Data Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join their growing team. This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data infrastructure to support business intelligence, analytics, and reporting needs.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data movement, database technologies, and cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Python, with a proven track record of building scalable and efficient data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize data pipelines using SQL, AWS Glue, and Python.
- Design and maintain data models, tables, views, and schemas per business requirements.
- Perform data mapping between source systems and analytical platforms.
- Implement batch processing jobs and integrate structured and unstructured data.
- Work closely with Product Owners, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Maintain cloud data operations, ensuring data quality and security compliance.
- Build custom data management tools to support analytics teams.
- Participate in technical issue resolution, ensuring on-time delivery of solutions.
- Collaborate with executives and project teams in an advisory capacity on best data practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or data management.
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing and automation.
- Strong experience with AWS services, including AWS Glue, S3 Buckets, and Redshift.
- Expertise in database design, dimensional modeling, and data pipeline management.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, version control, and cloud-based data architecture.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (B2/C1 preferred).
Preferred Qualifications (Good to Have)
- Experience with US healthcare and life sciences data.
- Prior experience working with US-based clients.
- Exposure to large-scale data warehouse projects.
- Knowledge of Look ML for GCP Looker.
